The CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) is a two-day accredited course designed for individuals who have, or are about to acquire, supervisory responsibilities within the construction industry. This course is recognised by Build UK as the standard training for all supervisors and first-line managers working on construction sites across the UK.

The CITB Site Supervision Safety Training Scheme, commonly known as SSSTS, is a 2 day course for people who are working as, or moving into, a site supervisor role. It helps delegates understand their legal responsibilities for health, safety, welfare and environmental issues on construction sites.
The SSSTS Course is suitable for site supervisors, foremen, team leaders and people who are preparing to take on supervisory responsibilities in the construction industry. It is designed for those who need to understand how to supervise health and safety on site.
The SSSTS Course takes 2 days. Marvel Training’s course information shows registration from 8:30 am, with the course running from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm. For your course date cards, use the visible time as 08:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
The SSSTS Course is held at Marvel Training, 60A Station Rd, Kiveton Park, Sheffield S26 6QQ.
The SSSTS certificate is valid for 5 years. To keep the qualification current, delegates should complete the SSSTS Refresher Course before the certificate expires.
No. CSCS has confirmed that SMSTS and SSSTS are not accepted as part of CSCS card applications because they are health and safety training courses, not occupational competence qualifications. For a CSCS Supervisory card, applicants normally need the relevant NVQ or SVQ and the appropriate CITB Health, Safety and Environment test.
